CRAY RESEARCH RECEIVES CHRYSLER QUALITY AWARD

EAGAN, Minn., June 13, 1994 -- Cray Research, Inc.
(NYSE:CYR) today said it received Chrysler Corporation's
"Quality Excellence" award, presented to suppliers Chrysler
rates highest for their commitment to quality.

The award was presented following Cray's annual meeting
by Richard Rossio, Chrysler's general manager, scientific
laboratories and proving grounds.

and services to help solve customers' most challenging
